Tables
I made this table for my friend Ralph, the director of the California Commission of the Humanities. He's a good guy, and it was a pleasuret to colaborate with him.
The base is sonitube, covered with old Calfornia flea market maps and brown paper bags. The wooden 'shoulders' are from an old salvaged 2x4. The brass bolts, capped with wine cork, come from Maine (in a 'give away' pile outside a marina). The copper half-sphere is from a local scrap-yard, and was part of a float-valve in a large tank. The piece is finished with shellac.
